Executive
board
The Executive Board of the Cerebral Palsy Society of NZ consists
of nine elected members made up of the following: President, Vice
President and Secretary/Treasurer, and up to six Board members.
The Officers and one half of the members (being not fewer than three
selected by rotation) are elected for the ensuing year at each Annual
General Meeting (AGM). Nominations are called for six weeks prior
to the AGM. The General Manager is ex officio member of the Board
but with no voting rights..
The Board is responsible for the governance of the Cerebral Palsy
Society. It charts the direction of the Society and monitor's management's
performance on behalf of stakeholders.
The Board fulfils its responsibility by ensuring:
That strategies are in place to effect the Objects of the Society
as stated in the Constitution
Prudent overview of financial management.
The relevance of its policies and the appropriateness in which
programs and services are provided
That the Cerebral Palsy Society has the capacity to implement
policy and to manage its affairs
That what the Cerebral Palsy Society set out to accomplish,
what it did accomplish, and the choices that were made and why,
are adequately explained to members
The Board meets eleven times a year. The AGM is held in October. Click on the members name for more information.
Daily operation The General Manager and his team manage the day to day
activities.
