Welcome back to the new year everyone and I trust
you all had a veryrelaxing and enjoyable break over Christmas and
the New Year period.
Once again it is that time of year to snap out
of holiday mode and get your entries in for the annual Cerebral
Palsy Society Holiday Boccia Pairs tournament. This year it will
be held over the weekend of the 21st-22nd of January at Papatoetoe’s
Allan Brewster Centre.
This is the first of many wonderful Cerebral Palsy
Society events scheduled to be run for 2012. Take the most of this
enjoyable and entertaining occasion to have a laugh and catch up
with friends and make new ones while chancing your arm at Boccia.
As always, this event is designed to be fun and a great starting
point to get new people playing the exciting game of Boccia as new
players are encouraged to take the plunge and start their sporting
career in this very friendly (yet competitive) environment.
Don’t forget, players will be paired together
and given a handicap (much like in golf) to make the playing field
fair. Therefore, family members and friends are also welcome to
join in the competition so spread the word. Oh, and did we mention
that there are some excellent prizes up for grabs this year?
It will be a lot of fun and a great way to start
the year off. Don’t delay - start the ball rolling for 2012
now!
