ATTITUDE AWARDS on Horizon

Don’t spend all your money on Rugby World Cup tickets as there is a very prestigious annual event on the horizon. It’s the Attitude Awards which celebrate and recognize achievements in the disability sector.
This black-tie event is even more fashionable this year as it’s to be held at the newly built Viaduct Events Centre situated within Auckland’s Wynyard Quarter.

Television presenter Simon Dallow will again be master of ceremonies at this year’s Attitude Awards which will take place on December 1st starting at 6pm
I had the privilege of being appointed one of the judges at last year’s event and I can thoroughly recommend attendance. The night is glamorous and the reason for being there is uplifting
The 2010 panel of judges found it an extremely arduous task to pick a winner from a crop of very talented people from a wide variety of areas including sport, the arts and youth. It’s also pleasing to see the other awards remain intact including the “Spirit of Attitude” Award which goes to a person who has overcome hardship to achieve their

personal goals, the “Attitude Making a Difference” Award which goes to an individual with or without a disability who has made a significant contribution to improving the lives of people with disabilities and the Attitude ACC Employer Award.A quick glance at this year’s nominations shows the talent has not diminished, therefore the 2011 judging panel will have another difficult session sorting out the winners.
The evening consists of a sit down three course dinner followed by the awards ceremony peppered with entertainment from New Zealand¹s disability sector. There will be drinks in the Waiheke room after the event for people to relax and chat. The Awards will be filmed for a one hour television programme screening on TV1 with a transmission date of 11th December.

To secure your $175.00 per person tickets contact Sean Webster, Awards Project Manager on 309 4015 or you can book through the Attitude website. http://www.attitudepictures.com/attitude-awards/
