Sound business plans funded

Are you on the ground floor of where you want to be professionally, but need a bit of guidance to reach your goals and dreams?  Check out the latest programme coming out of Auckland’s North Shore Yesability Centre. “Voyager” is a tailor made leadership programme for young people passionate in becoming the best they can be. Funds are provided to make sound business development plans a reality. For example two guys interested in the world of IT computing were funded to attend a “Webstock” conference in Wellington. The funds made it possible for them to network with the finest IT experts in the land and they came back exhilarated

The first group of participants are about to graduate with renewed vigour and confidence surrounding future endeavours. .

"Launch at Vodafone"

At the beginning of the course each participant created a personal development plan which basically asked where they are now and where do they want to be in a year’s time and beyondThe launch of Voyager was a quality affair supported by Vodafone with TV presenter Simon Dallow and mountaineer William Pike invited as guest speakers.

After the glamour of the launch it was literally down to business helping the IT guys, along with their colleagues, which included a music producer, sports researcher, actor and burlesque dancer.

A two day camp was held at Takapuna’s Spencer on Byron Hotel where the leaders of different industries, including corporate reps from the Beef and Lamb industry, plus local MP’s, came to inspire. Also during the camp discussion groups were

formed to analyse what it means to be a leader.

On the cusp of the inaugural graduation the programme has proved to be an outstanding success.  Applications for a second intake of Voyager participants are now being sought.

So if you are between the ages of 16 -35, interested in developing your leadership skills and have a definite professional business plan get in touch with Natalie@yesability.org.nz phone 414-5360.
