The Iris (formerly Focus 2000 Ltd) rehab team, in support of world disability day, are opening up their doors to showcase their different therapies and facilities. This open day will take place on Thursday 3rd December.

This event starts at 1pm with a welcoming and an overview of each therapy. This is followed by a gym session and a Tai Chi Demonstration.

At 2.30pm a discussion on Occupational and Physiotherapy will take place followed by an Arts therapy session at 3pm. This session will take the form of a have a go gathering in a small group. The open day will end at 3.30pm with afternoon tea.

They are a friendly bunch at Iris Rehab with quite a few new faces joining in recent months and even weeks. Marion Gordon-Flower replaced Sally Legg a few months ago in the Art therapy department but physio Jessica O’Dowd and Jill Kay have only been there a few weeks.

So come along and met them all and join in the fun. The event is at Iris headquarters which is at 13 Coyle street, Sandringham. You are welcome to stay for all or part of the afternoon.

Parking is available on site and refreshments will be served.

These will be sent out to South Island users in the next week. North Island users will receive theirs in early December. The new vouchers can be used straight away and have an expiry date at the end of June 2010. The new vouchers are coloured green. (Of course use up your blue ones first...)

CP Society Holiday Boccia Tournament

SGM Called for Constitution Ratification An SGM has been called for the 12th Nov 2009, at 6pm at the Society's Office in 14 Erson Ave, Auckland. This SGM is to finally approve the Constitution that was approved at the AGM on the 18th Oct (as per section 10 of the existing Constitution) The quorum for this meeting is required to be at least 5 Board members.
