Christchurch was swinging!!!

Brittany Graham, Janet, Harvey, and Marshall Shields

These Christchurch folks sure know how to have a great time, and once again weather favoured the day.
The Xmas party was held at the Latimer Hotel, decor fantastic and the service impeccable. (Thank you Latimer Management & Staff)

Although the Santa Parade and the DPA luncheon were held on the same day as our lunch, we had 76 people attend. Harvey and I set off early in the morning to attend the occasion, yet again I was loaded down with bags and gifts for the door prizes.

The day kicked off with a bit of mix & mingle, moving on to a short presentation from Alison Franklin launching her new book, a few words from the General Manager, Harvey Brunt, then on to lunch. Door prizes were drawn during the day, which produced happy faces from our lucky winners.

Everyone needs to get up and move around after such a feast, so a few words to Brian our music entertainer for the day, to turn on a bit of getup&Go music. Pretty soon the toe tapping turned into a full on dance rage. The dance floor was alive with people in electric/manual chairs, family and friends. The Latimer staff also joined in for a boogie.

The day wound up around 4pm, a great time had by all. For all those toe tappers who had a reason why you could not dance, look out! There will be a next time.

Have a wonderful Xmas and a prosperous New Year

Cheers
