Remember William Shakespeare’s quote, “the
whole world is a stage”, from your old high school English
classes. Well if he was alive today and living in Auckland, old
Willie would be cock-a-hoop, over the upcoming “tempo°
- New Zealand’s Festival of Dance.” This year’s
festival sees over 122 performances in venues across Auckland
and the best part about it is that people with disabilities are
invited to attend for free.
Yes, you have read this correctly, FREE TICKETS are available
to people with disabilities and their companions to attend shows,
within the Tempo Dance Festival umbrella. This is a “Golden
Ticket Initiative” supported by SKYCITY’s Auckland
Community Trust.
The festival features some of New Zealand’s and the world’s
most exquisite dancers. From Classic to Contemporary styles, to
Tap, Flamenco, Hip Hop and so much more. Everywhere you turn there
will be some form of dance for you to see or take part in.
This is a fantastic opportunity for people to participate in
the Festival and celebrate dance.
