Rewind your life on stage

to see the video of Playback Theatre in action.

Come along and join in the spontaneous fun of Playback Theatre. The Cerebral Palsy Society has commissioned a performance by Auckland Playback Theatre.

When --- Saturday 7th June 2008

Where --- Focus 2000 Gym - 13 Coyle Street, Sandringham.

Time --- 5.15pm: Wine and Cheese --- 6pm: Performance

As explained in the video, spontaneity is the key to each performance. The performances are entertaining, humorous and stimulating as the actors bring to life experiences of members of the audience.

The audience supplies the material to inspire the actors and it is all done in a laid-back relaxed way.

During the show, snap shots, fleeting moments and whole episodes of a person’s life are relived. The show begins with ‘moments’, those brief episodes in your life, then moves on to longer stories where actors can be nominated to play various parts of the story. Everyone is warmly invited to participate. If you are non-verbal you are most welcome to write your story down and bring it along for someone to read.

Be in quick to join in the fun and laughter as there are only 45 seats available -- so first in, first served.
“Witnessing a moment come back to life is amazing and I wanted to share it with our CP members,” said Allyson Hamblett, who first brought the idea to the attention of the Cerebral Palsy Society.
Take the opportunity to unwind and rewind back to past memories.

It only costs $5 for members, $5 for carers in attendance and $10 for non-members. Registration form is on the homepage of the Cerebral Palsy Society’s website.
